CrossFit Mobility
Admittedly, I was not the first in this group of top notch Coaches to get hooked on Crossfit, but after watching my wife grow with the sport, I jumped in with both feet and haven’t looked back.
I have always led an active lifestyle, from competitive tennis to triathalons and running in 5k’s, 10k’s and completing the Pittsburgh Marathon, but with Crossfit I have found something that combines all of the best of each of these activities.
I try to coach with “virtuosity” as a goal, which is to do “the common, uncommonly well.” My passions at the “box” are swinging kettle bells and time on the Erg,( rowing machine).

Favorite Girls: Kim, Casey and Anna ( my wife and daughters )
Favorite Hero WOD: Zachary ( my son )

Bio: After years of traditional strength and conditioning training with little results I began Crossfit in 2011 by following the main site workout. In 2013 I began training at CrossFit SOTO. I truly believe in the methodology of Crossfit because I have seen the results. Whether you are just trying to lose weight, which was my initial goal, or trying to find a programing which keeps your interest while constantly challenging you, this is it. CrossFit has improved so many aspects of my life and I look forward to sharing what I have learned and experienced with those I coach. My favorite thing about SOTO is the community that continually inspires me to train harder and keep putting in the work.

My personal training/coaching philosophy is to approach your goals with humility and passion. Keep working hard and giving it your all.

You don’t get any better if you’ve never failed.

I played varsity tennis for 4 years at University of the Cumberlands; during that time I was First Team All Conference for three consecutive years. My Senior year I became the assistant coach. Once I graduated I wanted to stay fit so that’s when I started CrossFit in 2012. What I enjoy most about

CrossFit : the high intensity workouts, the community and every day is a new learning experience.

I was active in high school playing Lacrosse. In 2011 I got into Crossfit as a way to lose weight that had added up during the college years. Having real home cooking certainly helped that.

Over the last two years I have been transitioning more into powerlifting. I love staying up to date in the strength and conditioning world. My favorite thing about coaching Crossfit is watching people undergo amazing transformations and progress in gym.

Outside of the gym I spend most of my time with my soon to be wife Karley and our crazy puppy Scout.

CrossFit Since April 2013
Born and raise in Cincinnati!

I have been with SOTO since they opened their doors, this has become my second home and where I have found my best friends. The energy and the spirit that comes with CrossFit is unlike anything else, I’ve been hooked since day one. The struggle of learning new skills and trying to perfect them is what keeps me here day in day out.

When I’m not at the box, I am spending time with my girlfriend Laura, playing hockey, or traveling. Most recent trip was to the Pacific Northwest and the previous year a month of backpacking Europe!
